Istoric Sfantu Gheorghe:-in arealul orasului au fost descoperite (1956, 1958) vestigiile unei asezari neolitice, suprapusa de o asezare si un cimitir de inhumatie datand din secolul IV. La poalele Dealului Orko a fost identificat un mormant scitic de inhumatie (secolul V i.Hr.), in care s-au gasit patru bratari din bronz, mai multe verigi din bronz, o fibula, un inel si o aplica din bronz, margele din sticla s.a.
